Despite that, it already inspired fans around the world to record a cover of the song. Now we want to go further: in order to spread the song’s message, we have launched a video campaign and ask fans to translate „Kedvesem” to their own language!
Hungary is presenting the third heat of A Dal 2013 Hungarian national final tonight. The rules are the same: 3 songs will be selected by jury, and viewers from every country in the World can send SMS for normal prices (or the price to send an SMS to Hungary) for the rest. Public also will send 3 songs to one of the semi-finals that will organize in the next weekend, on Saturday and on Sunday.

Hungary is going to start national selection A Dal 2013 tonight. Besides the live TV shows, there will be exclusive interviews that are streamed only on Internet www.adal2013.hu right after the tv shows, that you can follow on your PC, Mobile (iOS, Android) or the Eurovision Hungary Facebook page. The selection consists 3 heats, 2 semifinals and a grand final. Tonight, in the 1st heat, 10 songs will competing, 3 songs selected by jury are step ahead, so the viewers can send votes for 7 songs, where the top 3 voting collectors will join to the semifinals.
Hungarian gossip website velvet.hu got the news from MTVA that Hungary will start national selection A Dal 2013 from February 2nd. Also announced that before the deadline, they have already got record number of applications. According to MTVA’s press release, it seems that they will follow the same structure of voting like last time: the viewers will select the top 4 songs, and the jury will decide the ultimate winner. Details will arrive on the beginning of January.
Introduction of a five-member jury MTVA and MTV jointly called for songs to represent Hungary at the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest, Europe’s biggest music competition. The main goal of the national finals is to promote high-quality new Hungarian songs. The success of the live-show „A Dal” proved that Hungarian composers and performers, especially those who are not well-known yet, need a platform which helps them to promote themselves both nationally and internationally. This year’s Hungarian national final with the victory of Hungary’s finest electro-pop band Compact Disco reached outstanding viewing figures (2,5 million viewers).
As MTVA promised, they will continue the format A Dal, which was the national selection for Eurovision 2012, on the beginnig of this year. In the jury, Kati Wolf (ESC 2011) will be replaced by the actual ESC entrant Csaba Walkó, the lead singer of Compact Disco (ESC 2012). There will be a 5th jury member as well that will be announced soon. Among the 4 men, the extra jury member will be a female. The organizer of national final MTVA is receiving the songs until 20th December 2012. |
