Serbia: Bojana Stamenov – The moment I’ ve learned to speak was the moment I’ve started to sing

Serbia as an independent country participated in the contest in 2007 for the first time and they won it, thanks to Marija Serifovic. After that their results were quite various, they skipped the contest last year. This year Bojana Stamenov will represent the country with her song, Beauty never lies.

What was your first step in your music career?

The moment I’ ve learned to speak was the moment I’ve started to sing. My first step towards music was the band with my sister.

This year you were selected to represent the Serbia at Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Vienna. What does it mean for you?

It was my childhood dream, my wish come true.

Your country came back to Eurovision after a year absence. Do you think it can make a country hard times?

I don’t think absence of one year made hard times, we just moved on. Sometimes it’s good to take a break.

If you could pick up only one word which word describes your life best and why?

Love. Because at the end love is all you need.

Who are your favourite singers?

I really love good music and enjoy listening good singers and voices. From Eurovisions singers I like Loreen, Abba…and from the world there are so many…some of them are Etta James, Amy Winehouse, Aretha Franklin…

This year there will be 39 more contestants in the contest. Do you have your favourites?

I didn’t have a chance to hear all the songs, so I still don’t have favourites. Every song is special in her own way.

What would you like to achieve in the contest?

I would like to get into the final and we will see.
